Our Favorite Fits - May 2022
It’s the beginning of the growing season and that applies to more than just plant life. Breathing some fresh life into the closet, we’ve been busy stocking up with tons of new seasonal statements and everyday essentials.
We received enough boxes over the last two months that we could have built the most epic fort ever. We were too busy in April to put together our Favorite Fits feature, so to recap from the beginning, we received lots of new and full restocks from Visvim, Lady White, and orSlow. There were also new CdG PLAY tees and Chuck Ts. A ton of socks walked in from Anonymous Ism. Two distressed denim masterpieces from Needles sauntered through. Corridor sweaters and Yashiki knits have kept spring cozy. Rolled tees from Velva Sheen brightened up the first layer. Arpenteur gave us a French lesson in Parisian casual. Howlin’ and Harmony both introduced some special terry-cloth creations. And Wander and nanamica hit us with some trail-worthy tech fabrics. The mysterious, slub master from ONI dropped four new pairs of super limited denim.
In May, HOKA, Salomon Advanced, and New Balance all snuck in some sneakers and slides. Wythe took their fabric first approach to foundational classics. Cableami topped our crowns with quality caps. Mikia wrapped our wrists with stone beads. Hender Scheme forged leather accessories without making a mark and restocked some MIPs. Junya Watanabe took a page from the good Dr. Frankenstein’s lab notes. Beams Plus brought back some Golden Age greatest hits of summer. Kapital crashed the party and put on a better playlist to get people moving. Acronym took us to school on technical gear. BYBORRE introduced us to some new ways to wear a suit. And Marni went to left field with some visual twists to make comfortable clothing able to turn heads.
And somehow we also had time to present our orSlow collab that featured a full kit of blue herringbone workwear goodness. The trousers sold out within an hour, but a few jackets are still available. Whether or not we can get back into these is TBD, but we’ll definitely do something similar in the future. Stay tuned for that.
Pulling from that long list of highlights, here’s our Favorite Fits for May…
