Comme des Garçons New Arrivals
Both challenging and accessible, there are many facets to Comme des Garçons. Balancing between innovative art-fashion aesthetics and timeless classics, its many labels range far but each has its own focus. The concept is not of diffusion
lines, but extension – everything grows from the sense of values established by Comme des Garçons in the early 70’s and spans lifestyle from the red carpet to the swimming pool.
This photo-editorial features our New Arrivals from just 3 of the 17 labels: WALLET, PLAY and Junya Watanabe MAN.
Comme des Garçons PLAY
PLAY connects minimalist classics to streetwear - a laid-back luxury with fine details and quality fabrication. These stripped-down, everyday essentials are then used as a canvas for the sign, symbol and feeling of CdG PLAY - the iconic Heart and Eyes logo designed by Filip Pagowski.
Comme des Garçons WALLET
Wallets are essential accessories - hidden away, it comes out when it’s time to fuel up for the road ahead, your chance to treat, or to tuck away a memento. CdG WALLET spotlights that everyday carry with a lot of flavor added to the function. Never overdesigned, WALLET gives it just enough twist of pattern, color, or clever craftsmanship to turn the mundane into the main attraction.
Junya Watanabe MAN
Junya Watanabe is one of the few designers that makes art that is actually wearable. His pieces are inspired by the subcultures that have taken brands and clothing and rebuilt them into a context of style. It’s a visual language that speaks volumes about the art and attitude of a cultural movement.
Junya Watanabe bridges those subcultures through very technical deconstruction techniques that honors both those histories and the modern man's ability to contain multitudes on his hunt for the good life.
Although we won’t ever be holding anything Rihanna wore on the red carpet, we’ve also started stocking a selection of our favorite scents from CdG PARFUMS.
Additionally, the Comme des Garçons SHIRT label will be hanging on the racks soon. Stay tuned...
