The Real McCoy's Lot.005 - Indigo

THE REAL McCOY’S LOT.005 replicates the early design of five-pocket denim pants, featuring rivets and a single back pocket, popularized in San Francisco in the 1870s. Initially called overalls, these pants were mainly worn by West Coast workers. The design evolved to include two back pockets and a watch pocket, all sewn with orange linen thread. This product accurately recreates the estimated 1906 design, showcasing the use of advanced factory equipment, while maintaining a tailored craftsmanship. To achieve the desired texture and color, a thicker warp yarn and a finer weft yarn were spun using traditional methods and dyed with natural indigo. The vintage shuttle loom provides the final touch, creating an authentic look and feel. Additionally, a riveted cinch back waist with a double prong adds to the overall design.
