Lot. 319 Palaka Jacket - Discharged Indigo Plaid
$725.00 USD
The Palaka Jacket was originally developed as workwear for Japanese immigrants in Hawaii during the early 1900s. Designed to be lightweight and perfect for the tropical climate, it features small shell buttons for a casual, breathable fit. The base pin-checked fabric is a reproduction of 1910s American work jacket material, woven on old-style power looms with original indigo yarn and yellow-dyed American cotton. A degreasing washer finish is added for an aged, dry touch. The dishcarge indigo plaid showcases the traditional check pattern.
