CENTURY DENIM 1ST JKT - N7S
The denim for this jacket is dyed from unripe persimmons and then sashiko stitched with Yeddo Hawthorne and Mud Dyed natural thread to create the unique color on this jacket. The fade is unique from standard indigo, producing subtle fading and patina over time while also forming an interesting diamond pattern. A slim fitting jacket that looks good with just about anything. A celebration of a hundred years of Western and Eastern denim and indigo.
The sashiko stitch was originally a way to reinforce garments in Japan during the Edo period, and the western rivets and cotton denim heritage continues to be the pride of American fashion. This jacket, like so many other Kapital pieces, is thoughtful and compelling.
