This Lot.103 Work Shirt P/O in Light Brown draws inspiration from classic 1910s work shirts found in Ohio. It features authentic design elements such as chin straps, pen-holder pockets, and a wide front placket, while maintaining a straight silhouette without shoulder slope true to the era. To ensure ease of wear, the body has been widened and the length has been shortened. The fabric is our original blend of uncarbonized wool for the weft and organic USA Superior Pima cotton for the warp. Unlike most fabrics, our wool yarn has not undergone carbonization, a process that uses acidic liquid to remove impurities from animal hair. As a result, the fabric retains its natural texture and depth of color. Our deep black dyeing technique, developed by Kyoto Montsuki, creates a nuanced shade that reflects the traditional Japanese formal wear known as kuromontsuki.
