Crafted from a 12.5 oz. right twill natural indigo denim, THE REAL McCOY'S LOT.005J is a replication of the 1904 "Pleated Front Blouse" style. This jacket represents a significant evolution in workwear, featuring distinctive characteristics such as smaller front buttons, narrower box stitching, and a square collar that predates the pointed style commonly seen in later models. The uneven "tandem yarn" used in this jacket pays homage to the early days of denim garments, while the use of iron buttons and dome-shaped rivets reflects the era's craftsmanship. To recreate the textural and color finish of the original, this piece is constructed with a 5.8 count warp yarn and a 10 count weft yarn, both spun using traditional methods and dyed with natural indigo. The yarns are then woven on a vintage shuttle loom, completing the authentic look and feel of the period. It features a pleated front, copper rivets, and economy rivet buttons.
