Canoe Club x orSlow Spring 2026: Coverall & Fatigue Pants

There are some collaborations you plan, some you anticipate, and some you hope for. Others just become part of who you are. At this point, our partnership with orSlow has become just that. What started as a shared love for workwear has turned into one of the longest-running relationships we have here at the shop. And the coverall jacket & fatigue pant kit? That's become the throughline of it all.

This is our seventh collaboration with orSlow, and the third iteration of the coverall and fatigue kit series. We first released it in French Blue back in 2022, then followed it up with Olive Drab, and well, we'll get to that French Blue again in a second. Each version has been built on the same foundation: orSlow's iconic herringbone twill and a kit approach inspired by the head-to-toe uniforms of French workwear, where railway workers and tradesmen wore matching tops and bottoms as a matter of course. That idea has always resonated with us, and it's what ties this whole series together.

Those of you who have been rocking with us for a while have heard us talk about kits. A matched top and bottom, worn together, has always been a cornerstone of how we like to dress here at Canoe Club. There's a simplicity to it that we love, and it leaves a lot of room for personal interpretation. The coverall and fatigue pant combo is maybe the best example of that idea in our entire roster. It's a kit that works just as well broken up as it does together, and it's become something our community comes back to season after season. Every time we sit down to talk about the next one, the conversation always starts the same. What color are we doing next?

THE COVERALL

For those who are newer to this series, here's the rundown. The piece itself is built on orSlow's 1940s Coverall, one of the brand's signature silhouettes and a permanent fixture in their lineup since 2009. The original is rooted in American workwear, the kind of stripped-down, utilitarian coverall that factory workers and mechanics wore during the 1940s. orSlow's version captures that simplicity, a no-nonsense jacket with just enough detail to make it interesting and nothing extra to get in the way.

For our collaboration, we've taken that silhouette and put it through a different lens. Where the original uses selvedge denim with set-in sleeves, the Canoe Club version swaps in a herringbone twill fabric, leaning into the French workwear tradition that inspired the kit concept. The herringbone is soft to the touch but tough enough to handle everyday use. Each piece is hand-washed and lightly distressed, giving it that perfectly broken-in feel from day one, while leaving plenty of room for it to develop its own character over time. The construction is where some of the detail really shows: double-needle chainstitching at the panels and armholes, single-needle elsewhere, and bar tacks at every stitch endpoint. The breast pocket has a pencil holder and center seam, and the gauntlet-style cuffs fold back with a clean angular profile. Custom aged brass buttons, reinforced patch pockets, and a straight hem for easy layering round it out. It's a perfect snapshot of what this collaboration does best: taking orSlow's meticulous approach to vintage reproduction and reworking it with our own perspective on wearability.

If you've owned one of the previous versions, well, you already know. This is the kind of piece that gets better the more you wear it, and it’s built for exactly that. The herringbone softens, the color shifts, the brass patinas. It becomes yours in a way that few garments can.

THE FATIGUE PANT

At this point, Canoe Club and fatigues are pretty much synonymous. We've talked about it before, and if you've been shopping with us for any amount of time, you know we'll never pass up a good pair. orSlow feels the same way. Their US Army Fatigue Pants, based on the OG-107 utility trousers that were standard military issue from the 1950s through the late '80s, are arguably the brand's most recognized piece outside of denim. So it only makes sense for the fatigue pant to be the other half of this kit. Both the brand and the shop have built their reputations around fatigues, and bringing them together here felt like the most natural pairing we could ask for.

Like the coverall, the collaboration fatigue pant trades the standard reverse sateen for herringbone twill, with the same hand-washed and lightly distressed treatment. The fit is what orSlow calls their Regular Fit: comfortable and easy, with a side cinching waist and button fly. Two large front fatigue patch pockets and two rear flap-closure pockets give it that classic utilitarian character. It works as part of the full kit or on its own with whatever else you're reaching for. Available in both the new Walnut Brown and the returning French Blue.

WHATS NEW: WALNUT BROWN

This time around, we're introducing Walnut Brown, and if you've spent any time on our Discord lately, you saw this one coming. Brown has been a mainstay color in the community for a while now. It felt like the natural next step for this series, and we're really happy with where it landed. The garment dye process gives it a warmth and depth that feels lived-in right out of the box. Otherwise known in the Discord as German Shepherd colors. If you know, you know.

The Walnut Brown pairs just as easily with your everyday denim as it does with the matching fatigue for the full kit look. We think this one is going to age particularly well, and we're excited to see how the color develops over time.

THE RETURN OF THE FRENCH BLUE

Now, about that French Blue. The color itself is an ultramarine dye originally derived from powdered lapis lazuli, and it's always been a beautiful alternative to indigo. When we first released it back in 2022, it sold out almost immediately and became one of the most requested pieces we've ever done. We heard you. For the past four years, the community has been asking us to bring it back, and here it is. The French Blue coverall and fatigue pant are returning for this release.

We don't take re-releases lightly. This isn't about running something back for the sake of it. The French Blue earned its spot back because the community made it clear they wanted it, and part of what we love about this ongoing series with orSlow is being able to respond to what our people are telling us. That said, we can't say when or if this color will come around again, so if it's been on your list, now is the time. And if you already own one and want a backup, we honestly can't blame you.
