TAKING OUR PARTNERSHIP TO NEW HEIGHTS

Following the success of our first collaboration, which drew inspiration from classic English workwear, we've shifted our focus closer to home for this sophomore effort. Together with the team at Engineered Garments, we've created a collection that seamlessly blends the functionality required for outdoor pursuits with the refined sensibility that both our teams constantly yearn for.

A Modern Take on Vintage Outdoor Wear

While some have pronounced the death of gorpcore, it didn’t stop us from embracing the outdoors that Colorado has to offer. If you’ve spent any amount of time here, it’s easy to get drawn into the outdoor-centric lifestyle that saw its first boom in the 1970s. 

Rather than simply recreating these vintage styles, we've reimagined them through a contemporary lens. We wanted to capture the spirit of adventure and functionality that defined 1970s outdoor wear while making changes with today’s customer in mind. The result is a collection that feels both comfortably nostalgic and decidedly modern.

The Canoe Light Parka: Our Versatile Staple

First up is the Canoe Light Parka, a piece that exemplifies our collaboration's ethos. This jacket takes cues from early Engineered Garments collections but updates the silhouette for modern wearability. Taking the popular 60/40 poly/cotton blend that dominated the 70s, and tweaking it for today’s conditions, we’re able to get a perfectly drapey, breathable yet water-resistant fabric for the parka.

Key features of our Canoe Light Parka include:

- A boxy cut with a slightly cropped length for ease of movement.

- 65% polyester / 35% cotton fabric, reminiscent of the popular 60/40 cloth from the 1970s.

- Thoughtful pocket design, including expanding front pockets with hidden side entry, an arm pocket for electronics, and a zippered back map pocket.

-A hidden placket and dual-way zipper for versatile styling options.

- Leather toggle hood adjusters and a billed hood for added protection and style.

We designed the parka to transition seamlessly from trail to town, and between seasons, embodying the versatile spirit of Colorado living. Its thoughtful construction demonstrates Engineered Garments' renowned attention to detail, with each element serving both a functional and aesthetic purpose.

The Canoe Light Parka will be available in "Sky" and "Dune" colorways.

CANOE FA PANT: REENGINEERING THE ICON

Complementing the parka are our Canoe FA Pants, a modified version of Engineered Garments' iconic FA Pant. While we’ve established ourselves as the go-to spot for fatigues, it’s hard to pass up on a piece that is synonymous with the brand. We've re-engineered the fit to pair perfectly with the cut of the Canoe Light Parka while maintaining the same comfort and functionality that EG is known for.

Notable aspects of our Canoe FA Pant include:

-A roomy fit with a gusseted knee for enhanced mobility.

-An intricate pocket system that provides ample storage without compromising on style.

-Extra-washed and brushed cotton fabric that offers exceptional softness and a unique, character-rich finish.

-Drawstring waist and adjustable hem for a customizable fit.

The pocket system on the Canoe FA Pant deserves special attention. Here’s a full breakdown:

-Two slant hand pockets for easy access.

-A large expanding button closure hip pocket on the right side.

-A small expanding button closure hip pocket on the left side.

-Two large rear flap pockets.

-An additional small rear expanding button closure pocket.

The Canoe FA will be available in "Cloud" and "Ivy" colorways

We've rounded out the collection with two key accessories that complement the main pieces while standing strong on their own:

The canoe cap

A simple yet functional piece made from the same fabric as the Canoe Light Parka, featuring an antique brass adjuster and embroidered collaboration logo. We designed this cap to not only provide protection from the elements but also serve as a stylish accent to any outfit from the collection. The six-panel construction ensures a comfortable fit, while the reinforced crown maintains its shape wear after wear. If you love caps as much as we (Chase in particular) do, this one's for you. Just like the parka, the Canoe Cap will come in “Sky and Dune”

The Canoe Cross Crew Tee

A long-sleeve tee that showcases Engineered Garments' innovative overlapping crew neck design. We specifically designed its length to complement the Canoe Light Parka, creating an intentional layered look. The tee's versatility allows it to be worn as a base layer or as a standalone piece, adapting to various weather conditions and style preferences. Made from 100% cotton, it features a chest pocket and large side gussets for improved range of motion. Leave it to us to over engineer a tee…
