The Raglan Sleeve extends in one piece to the collar, leaving a diagonal seam from the underarm to the collar.  Named after Lord Raglan who is said to have worn a coat of this style after the loss of his arm in the Battle of Waterloo.  Instead of a prefixed sleeve, it gives greater movement to the wearer, allowing Lord Raglan room to use his sword in battle.  The less constrictive movement gained popularity for its useful advantages in country and sportswear.

The natural shoulder of the Raglan allows room for every shape and size. If you’ve struggled with being between sizes or if you have a broader chest or shoulders, a Raglan is the answer.
