Perfectly Balanced Silver
Hands travel through work and turn the page - a balance of resolve and artistry, tender enough to hold a baby and strong enough to wrench. Silver is as solid and yet governable as the hands that craft it and the hands that are held by it.
In the hands of master silversmith Take of Mt. Hill, the language of silver is a fluid representative of nature’s complementary duality. The feathers he carves appear to be frozen in their natural movement and his motifs are soft forms contrasted with hard lines.
Each piece is handcrafted in Kawagoe, Japan, an historic samurai village 30 miles outside Tokyo, and it’s there that Mt. Hill creates jewelry that shows us that things that are strong can also be beautiful.
