Mikia is inspired by jewelry collected from small marketplaces around the world and the craftspeople that create personal art for travelers. These mementos of adventure blend with an individual’s style to become something layered and complex. Started in 1998, designer Aki Mitsubayashi works mostly with beads to create elemental color stories of the people, places and things that create treasured memories.
